Julia, owner of "Appropriate Computer Solutions" and Online Marketing Coordinator & Youth Alive! Liaison with the Mateel Community Center, previously served on the KMUD Board from August, 2010 until August, 2011, filling a one-year vacancy.
Brand new to the Board was Carlos Casarez, who was elected and seated at the Aug. 24 meeting to serve a three year term. Carlos has lived in Humboldt County for 31 years, and has extensive experience working in commercial radio and television. He comes to the Board with a mound of experience, including being the previous owner of the Coffee Break Internet Café in Arcata.
The terms of two currently seated Board members, President Rob Bier and Treasurer Jama Chaplin, expired on August 24, 2012. The KMUD community thanks Rob and Jama for their work and dedication to KMUD.
