Job Announcement: Membership Director

Job Title: Membership Director
Reports to: Station Manager
Hours: 24-32 hours per week
Compensation: $18- $20 per hour, DOE
General Description:
The Membership Director for Redwood Community Radio serves as the liaison between the station (KMUD) and its members, maintaining and enhancing membership inclusion, communication and services. The Membership Director works in conjunction with KMUD staff to achieve and surpass membership goals. This position is charged with maintaining and overseeing the membership database and donations. Working with the Finance Committee, Station Manager and Bookkeeper, this position will ensure the financial handling and supervision for RCR. This position requires the regular production of reports for the Manager, the Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors, including but not limited to financial statements, budget-to-actual, and other reports as requested. This position requires extensive work with volunteers. As in all positions at KMUD, the Membership Director will work very closely and interdependently with other staff. The Membership Director will ensure that the fundraising strategies are in alignment with KMUD Community Radio's mission, goals and policies.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
-  Create bank deposits from member revenue, events, other donations
-  Manage Membership and eMerchant databases, Donorsnap
-  Quickbooks data entry for all Membership, events, grants, and other data entry as needed Last phrase could include UDW if we decide to put it here.
-  Cross train with bookkeeper on accounts payable tasks
-  Create billing for Membership Drive follow-up and other billings as needed
-  Develop and maintain sustaining member accounts, create reports
-  Attend Finance and Membership Drive Committee meetings
-  Produce reports for Station Manager, Finance Committee and Board of Directors
-  Maintain budget-to-actual spreadsheet, monthly
-  Membership Drive tasks as needed, with committee support, including pledge premium tracking and fulfillment
-  Work with Program Director to create promos for all Membership Drives
-  Social media posts, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as directed
-  Create all mass publishing to Membership, including eNewsletters, Silent Drive and end of year letters
-  Attend online webinars and trainings, as directed or desired
-  Recruit, train and oversee volunteers
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
-  Excellent knowledge of technology and appropriate software, including database management, spreadsheets, and electronic communication
-  Quickbooks or similar program experience required
-  Thorough understanding of financial documents, required
-  Highly self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and work according to specific deadlines, excellent time management skills a must
-  Ability to delegate responsibility and ensure accountability
-  Ability to work with a diverse population within KMUD’s multicultural, cooperative, progressive organization
-  Ability to train and supervise volunteers
