Conservative and liberal organizations take opposite positions on the 9 ballot propositions in the upcoming election. The recommendations of 18 leading groups, including the Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Peace & Freedom and Green parties, labor unions, Sierra Club, League of Women Voters, Farm Bureau and Chamber of Commerce, can be viewed at the website http://electioninfo.org and here:
In summary, the liberal groups are almost unanimous in recommending Yes on Prop. 19, No on 20, Yes on 21, No on 22 & 23, Yes on 24 & 25, and No on 26 & 27. The only exceptions are on the two propositions dealing with redistricting, Props 20 and 27, where disagreement prevailed. Conservative groups are almost unanimous in recommending No on 19, Yes on 20, No on 21, Yes on 22 & 23, No on 24 & 25, Yes on 26, and No on 27.
