For additional results click here for the Humboldt County Election Results website. Note, according to the Calif. Secretary of State website, the state's new open primary system allows the two candiates receiving the most votes in the primary election to appear on the ballot for the general election. However, according to the website, " California's new open primary system does not apply to candidates running for U.S. President, county central committee, or local offices."

So statewide, there will be a runoff in November between present Governor Jerry Brown and challenger Neel Kashkari, in the Governor's race, and between Jared Huffman and Dale Mensing for the Second District U.S. House of Representative seat. However, if the present results hold, Maggie Fleming has been elected as Humboldt County District Attorney and Ryan Sundberg and Virginia Bass will be returning as county supervisors. Although yes votes for measure N are presently at 51.6%, the measure must have 55 percent to pass - so this one could go either way at this point.
