Christine Walters still missing

The Eureka Police Department is requesting the aid of the public in locating 25 year old Christine Walters. Christine has blondish-red hair and blue eyes. She is 5 foot 4 inches tall and approximately 100 pounds. She was last seen on Nov. 14, 2008 in Eureka.
Her family has reported her missing as they have not heard from her in since November 2008.

Any information regarding Christine should be given to Police Services Officer Mary Anderson of the Criminal Investigation unit at 441-4300 or call the 24-hour dispatch number, 441-4044 or call the local number at: 707 672-6191.
Christine reportedly took the substance Ayahuasca the day before she disappeared.

According to a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, dated June 2, 2011:

On June 1, 2011 at about 1550 hours, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing at a residence in the 1700 block of Myrtle Avenue, Eureka.  On arrival the 56 year-old male victim reported he was stabbed in the arm during an altercation inside the residence. The victim identified the suspect as Darryl Simons, age 52 of Eureka.  Simons is described as a black male adult, 5’8, 200, brown eyes, black hair.  Simons left in a tan sedan (no further description), in an unknown direction of travel.  Simons current whereabouts are unknown.  The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is on-going. Anyone with information is asked to call the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office at 707-445-7251.

Blocksburg man missing

According to a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release, dated May 2, 2011:
On Thursday, April 28, 2011 the Sheriff’s Office received a missing person report regarding a subject named Edward Burton Jensen age 54 from Blocksburg. Mr. Jensen was last seen about 2 weeks ago at a rural residence located in the Larabee Creek sub-division area of Blocksburg.  Mr. Jensen walked away from the residence after an argument with another subject and has not been seen since. On 04-29-2011 four Deputies searched the rural property for any signs of Mr. Jensen with negative results. Family and friends have not heard on seen Mr. Jensen since and are concerned about his safety. The Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance with any information on Mr. Jensen possible location. Mr. Jensen may heading to the Corning area of California. The public is requested to call the Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251 with any information on the possible location of Mr. Jensen.

Edward Burton Jensen is described as : white/male, 5'-11", 230 pounds, brown hair and hazel eyes.

High Risk Missing Person

Subject: Missing Person-High Risk HCSO CASE #201102351

On 04-26-2011, at 11:00 am the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office received a report of a missing elderly male. The reporting party was a caretaker at a local care home in the Garberville Area. The reporting person told responding deputies that 82 year old, Robert Firestone, a resident at the home located in the 900 block of Locust Avenue, Garberville, was missing. He was last seen on 04-25-2011 at 7:00 p.m. in his bed asleep. He likes to walk three times a day and it is unknown exactly when he left the care home.
According to the reporting party Firestone is deaf, and has Alzheimer’s. When Firestone walks, he walks stooped over due to a medical condition. He is also supposed to be taking medications.

Humboldt County Sheriff Search and Rescue personnel have been called to the area to assist in the search.

Robert Firestone is described as:
White Male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 125 lbs, gray hair, brown eyes. He may possibly be wearing a long gray raincoat, and a white round fishing cap.


Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is requested to contact the Sheriff’s office immediately.
