2009 missing person case gets new life with federal help Featured

Foul play is suspected in the disappearance of Robert Joseph Tennison, age 42.Tennison (shown in the photo) was reported missing on March 19, 2009 and was last seen in the Rancho Sequoia area of Alderpoint. Law enforcement is treating Tennison's disappearance as a possible homicide and served a search warrant on a residence and parcel of property located in the 1000 block of Rancho Sequoia Road. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone having information on Tennison’s disappearance please contact, Detective Sam Williams at 707-268-3645 or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251. HCSO Press Release, dated March 13, 2014:
On 03-12-2014 at about 0900 hours the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the State of California Department of Justice served a search warrant on a residence and parcel of property located in the 1000 block of Rancho Sequoia Road, Alderpoint. The search warrant was related to the disappearance of Robert Joseph Tennison age 42, who was reported as a missing person on 03-19-2009 to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office considers the disappearance of Tennison as suspicious and are concerned that Tennison may be the victim of foul play. The search warrant was served on the property in Rancho Sequoia after new information was received in the investigation.

Several items of evidence where seized by the Department of Justice to be tested a later date for any forensic clues related to Tennison’s disappearance.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that if anyone has information on the Tennison’s disappearance to please contact, Detective Sam Williams at 707-268-3645 or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251.
