Police conduct "sweep" of So Hum encampments Featured

Written by

Typical of this time of year in SoHum, as the peak summer temperatures begin to fall, the tension surrounding the "traveling population" rises. An example occured last Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 when Humboldt County Sheriff's deputies resonded to a call reporting a fight in progress in the area of the Veteran's Park in Garberville, resulting in three arrests and two wounded deputies. Click here for that story.

Today, Tues., Oct. 2, Humboldt County sheriff deputies conducted a sweep of encampments through Redway and Garberville. Use the player below to hear the KMUD Local News report aired this evening by Cynthia Elkins, KMUD News Coordinator.
