On March 30th, 2008, KMUD's longtime music director and on-air personality Kate Klein was on the air from 1:30 to 3:00 pm with her occasional show "Healing Factor." In this show she invited listeners to call in with their healing wisdom. Very few people were aware that Kate had been diagnosed with cancer just a short few days before that. It turned out that this was going be her very last radio show of her life.

Due to a power outage none of the automated recording equipment worked correctly, but thanks to another programmer, Bob "Delux" Biniarz, who happened to turn on his recorder, we can bring you her "Swansong" as she herself announced it.
