Block Party May 18, 2019 Featured

Click here for the stage schedule (or line-up if you prefer)

Due to rain in the forecast the Block Party has been moved to the Mateel Community Center. It's still free to attend!

So, once again KMUD Community Radio is hosting our annual all-day musical event, May 18, from noon until the cows come home which is about nine pm. Of course there will be food — by Babette and Friends, cd and record sales, t-shirts and hats for sale, plenty of vendors with their beautiful wares, beer, wine and drink boothbake sale staffed by YOUth in RADio, plenty of tentage to keep out of the sun, and, most of all—music all day—nine different performers and bands, including Buddy Reed and the Rip It Ups, April Moore and Ranch Party, Object Heavy, and Kai Clark, whose father played with the Byrds!  The full list is on the poster, in reverse order.  more

DOWNblockParty 2019 900

This is one of our best community events. It's small enough to be intimate but big enough that lots of your friends will be there and that is what this event is about. It's about re-establishing our bonds of friendship after a long, rainy winter. It's also about supporting the last bastion of free speech up here on the North Coast, KMUD Community Radio. Our radio station is quintessential in these times of fake news and propaganda. There is no other radio station like KMUD. Please come and be with your friends and support our radio station while having the best of times.  We’ll close the road and dance in the street (or at least the parking lot). Donations will be happily accepted.

The Brass Rail in Redway is hosting an afterparty featuring Intergalactic Trash

Redwood Community Radio extends its gratitude to sponsors Dazey’s Supply, Pierson Building Center, Blue Star Gas, Flow-Kana, and the New Harris General Store.
