Dear Listener

When I moved to the Southern Humboldt community I had been living outside of the societal norms since I was 18. I travelled all over this country seeking a community that I was comfortable in. I arrived in Humboldt county and have been here ever since. Although I never meant to move here, there is certainly something special about this community.
A short time later, it is the most “homey” place I have ever known. I witness daily expressions of our communities shared values and strength at KMUD, Redwoods Rural health center, the Mateel Community Center, Sanctuary Forest, Trees Foundation, and more.
Let’s not forget where we came from. Without our rural values and community spirit, we would not be here. Rather than look outside ourselves, we can stick together to keep this magical and wild community alive.
KMUD has been here for this community since its formation in 1987. We’re still here because of the support of you, our members. KMUD family!
Show your love for KMUD by returning the silent drive form. If you return the form by September 3rd you will be entered to win a 500$ Gift Certificate to Western Star Tree Company! More sweet local prizes to be announced.
Now is the time for us to remember our core values and strengthen our community ties. Individually and as a community we are all here for a purpose.
For the MUD,
Shira Brown
Membership Committee Member
Interim KMUD Membership Director
You might want to print out the form below, or make a secure online pledge by clicking here. In either case, we thank you!
