FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies and Officers from the Eureka Police Department responded to the Safeway store at 2520 Harris Street last night after a robbery was reported there. At about 10:45 p.m. a man approached a cashier and demanded that she empty her register. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and was holding a handgun. The cashier complied with the suspect’s demands and placed the money in a plastic grocery bag. The suspect then fled from the store through the west exit.

A witness who was in line at the register reported seeing the suspect enter the store prior to donning his ski mask. The witness identified the suspect as Ezra Williams, who is a suspect in seven robberies within Eureka City limits.

Williams is a white male adult, 26-years-old, about 5’5” tall, weighing about 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos including one on his neck that reads “Outlaw” with accompanied by skulls. He also has a one-inch scar on his forehead.
