Assault/Robbery – Suspects Sought

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men who entered another man’s house, assaulted him, and stole several items. Last Tuesday, March 23, 2009, at about 3:15 p.m. a man reported he was awakened in his Carlotta residence by two men. The two men assaulted the victim, causing injuries that included a broken arm and lacerations that required stitches. The suspects made several threatening statements to the victim, took several items from him, and then left the house.
 
There is no evidence that this assault was drug related.
 
Since the assault, the investigating deputy – working with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (Parole Officers) – has been able to identify the suspects. They are:
 
Jackson Arnold Parrott – 30 years old, a white male, 5’11” tall, weighing about 220 pounds. He has closely cropped red hair and blue eyes. He usually has a goatee and moustache. 
 
Michael Stephen McKean – 48 years old, white male, 5’10” tall, weighing about 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and short brown hair with a receding hair line. He usually has a beard and moustache.
 
Both suspects are wanted on charges that include assault causing great bodily injury and robbery. Additionally, both men are on parole and wanted for parole violations. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of either suspect should call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
