Aunt Laura of the movie “Humboldt County”

The movie Humboldt County premiers in its namesake county in a couple of weeks month at the Wild Rivers 101 Film Festival . The movie centers around a pot-growing family living in Southern Humboldt County, and features actors from Deadwood, Six Feet Under, and the Sopranos. Darren Grodsky and Danny Jacobs wrote and directed the film, and Darren's Aunt Laura — a resident of southern Humboldt — helped inspire the film. Her character is played by Francis Conroy, who also played Ruth in Six Feet Under. Aunt Laura says Darren has been coming to Humboldt County since he was about 9 years old.
