Crigler Receives NFCB's Bader Award

PORTLAND, OR — April 7, 2009: John Crigler, attorney and owner of law firm Garvey Schubert Barer, has been presented with the National Federation of Community Broadcasters' 2009 Bader Award. The award was presented at a luncheon at the NFCB's Community Radio Conference last week.

Crigler was honored for his longtime dedication and service to the NFCB and community radio and for his advocacy on behalf of community radio before the FCC and other agencies. Crigler is the author of the NCFB's Public Radio Legal Handbook and a contributor to other NFCB publications, and he advises the organization on legal and regulatory matters facing its member stations.

"When NFCB members ask me a question that I can't answer, I call John," said NFCB VP/Director of Federation Services Ginny Z. Berson. "When NFCB wants to get a sense of what the FCC might be up to, we call John. And when something is about to come down the pike, John calls us. He is an indispensable part of our ability to provide services to member stations."
