CSAR 10/19

Community Safety and Awareness Report for Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

•This Thursday, KMUD will be participating in the 1st Annual ShakeOut Drill.  The drill is scheduled for 10:20am on October 20th.  This means that wherever you are at that moment, you should Drop, Cover, and Hold On as if there were a major earthquake occurring at that very moment, and stay in this position for at least 60 seconds.  For more information, visit: shakeout.org.

•Another Friday meeting will continue the conversation on the impact of homeless, transients, travelers, new settlers, seasonal workers, unemployed job seekers, and others on the community. The meeting will be held at the Vet’s Hall in Garberville, this Friday, October 21st from 6 to 8pm.  A recorded version of the previous meeting is available online at KMUD.org. Notes were taken and are available by request via email, or as hard copy in advance, or at the meeting.  This follow-up will organize and prioritize solutions and concerns presented at the previous meeting. New ideas will be accepted as well.  All are welcome.  For more information call Paul at 923-4488 or email [email protected].

•Tune in tonight at 7pm for The Computer Guys.  That’s tonight from 7 to 8pm, right here, on KMUD.

This concludes the Community Safety and Awareness Report, which can be read online at kmud.org and heard weekdays at 11am, 3 pm, and as needed here, on KMUD.
