Community Safety and Awareness Report for Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

•The next meeting of the Redwood Community Radio Board of Directors will be held today at 4pm at the Healy Center in Redway.

•Join Tasha McKee and Noah Levy of Sanctuary Forest, tonight at 7pm, during KMUD’s Environment Show.  Learn about upcoming model projects in the Mattole. They will be discussing forest and water projects including the Whitethorn Grove Demonstration Forestry Project, Whitethorn School storage and forbearance, and the Baker Creek groundwater recharge and in-stream habitat improvement. Guest speakers will include Tim Metz, of Restoration Forestry, and a representative of the school district. Tune in to learn about the collaborative efforts within this diverse community to restore the Mattole.  That’s tonight, from 7 to 8pm, here on KMUD.
