CSAR 12/21

Community Safety and Awareness Report for Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

•This Holiday Season, Towing Operators Working to Eliminate Drunk Drivers will once again offer assistance to residents in need of a ride.  Now, through 6am on January 1st, drivers who have had too much to drink can call the 24 hour dispatch number at 442-4537 for a free ride home for themselves, AND their vehicle, from locations in Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, and Fortuna.  That’s 442-4537.

•Unique gifting opportunities await you at KMUD’s Redway Studios this Holiday Season.  All of our MUD-ware is priced to move, and we may have just what you’re looking for.  Stop by the Studio Offices, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm, to see what we have in stock.  From hats to mugs, aprons to hoodies, and even our signature Tie-dye T’s and tank-tops, we may have that perfect something for your special someone!

•The KMUD Business Office will be closed on Monday, December 26th, for the Holiday.  The office will re-open on Tuesday, December 27th, at 9am.

•Tune in tonight at 7pm for The Computer Guys.  That’s tonight from 7 to 8pm, right here, on KMUD.

•And tune in this Friday, December 23rd, when, in place of our Local News, we will air an Emerald Cup Special produced by Kerry Reynolds.

This concludes the Community Safety and Awareness Report, which can be read online at kmud.org and heard weekdays at 11am, 3 pm, and as needed here, on KMUD.
