Community Safety and Awareness Report for Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

•The Humboldt County Health and Human Services Outreach Program will be at the Redway First Baptist Church, on Redway Drive, this Thursday, December 8th, from 10am to 2pm.  They will be taking MediCal, CMSP, and CalFresh applications, as well as referrals for county mental health services.

•A Community Meeting will be held this Friday, December 9th, to continue the conversation on homeless issues.  The meeting will be held at 6pm at the Vet’s Hall in Garberville. This will be a facilitated meeting focusing on solutions and concerns that have emerged in previous encounters. For more information, call 923 4488.

•Are you interested in knowing more about the California Highway Patrol activities in Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity Counties?  If yes, tune in to Redwood Community Radio, KMUD, tonight, at 7pm for the Civil Liberties Hour with special guests, Public Information Officer, Matt Harvey and Sergeant Heidebrink, from the Redway/Garberville CHP office.  This will be a call in program.  Listener participation is encouraged.  Tune in and be informed tonight, from 7 to 8pm.
