Community Safety and Awareness Report for Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

•The next KMUD Community Journalism Class will be held on Saturday, February 25th, from 1 to 4pm at the KMUD Station in Redway.  Terri Klemetson and Dave Brooksher will teach Introduction to Radio Reporting.  Participants will learn basic recording skills, interviewing, ethics, and how to contribute to the KMUD Newsroom.  That’s February 25th, from 1 to 4pm at KMUD, the class is free, space is limited.  RSVP by emailing [email protected].

•The KMUD Office will be closed next Monday, February 20th, for the President’s Day Holiday.  The Office will re-open on Tuesday, February 21st, at 9am.

•Tune in tonight at 7pm for The Computer Guys.  That’s tonight from 7 to 8pm, right here, on KMUD.

•And, next Wednesday, the Armchair Science correspondent, Betty Miller, is returning to Women on Wednesday!  On February 22nd, she’ll present Dr. Sandra Daley’s 15-question multiple-choice quiz on socioeconomics and the health of nations.  Don’t miss it: first hour of Women on Wednesday on February 22nd at 10am.  And, in the second hour, BR will host Oh My Goddess’ Sherry Glaser-Love, talking about her upcoming Laytonville show, and Kumu [KOO-moo] Eden from her home in Hawaii, sharing the latest in Nourishing Women to Greatness.  That’s the next Women on Wednesday, every Wednesday from 10 am until noon, on People-Powered Community Radio, K-M-U-D.
