Community Safety and Awareness Report for Monday, May 23rd, 2011

•CAL FIRE personnel have begun defensible space inspections of residential properties throughout Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.  CAL FIRE is reminding homeowners to protect their property with defensible space as required by state law by removing dead vegetation 100 feet from all structures.  Remember, defensible space is YOUR responsibility.  For more information, visit the CAL FIRE web site at: fire.ca.gov.

•The next KMUD Board of Directors Meeting will be held this Tuesday, May 24th at 4pm at the Healy Senior Center in Redway.
