Community Safety and Awareness Report for Monday, August 15th, 2011

•The Redway Community Services District appreciates the community’s ongoing water conservation efforts.  Construction on the Infiltration Gallery is underway.

•Community Members who are interested in serving on the Redwood Community Radio (KMUD) Board of Directors should contact a Board Member or Sarah at the station by August 17th.  There are openings for a Program Representative AND Board Appointed positions.  Call 923-2513, extension 106.

•Tune in tonight at 7pm for Democracy in Action with host Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap and her guest Ashley Sanders from Peaceful Uprising. They’ll be discussing the recent imprisonment of Tim DeChristopher for disrupting a government auction for oil drilling rights in Utah, and the response of climate change activists across the country. That’s on Democracy in Action, here on KMUD  from 7 to 8pm.
