Candidate Forums on KMUD Radio

Fifteen community groups are joining forces to host two candidate forums featuring candidates running in the
June 2022 primary for Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, Districts 4 and 5. The Eureka Chapter of the NAACP, Centro del Pueblo, the Wiyot Tribe, the Humboldt & Del Norte Central Labor Council, North Coast People’s Alliance, Cooperation Humboldt, Health Care for All Humboldt/Physicians for a National Health Program, Northcoast Environmental Center, Affordable Homeless Housing Alternatives, the Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities, Humboldt County Transition Age Youth Collaborative, Humboldt Area Center for Harm Reduction, 350 Humboldt, Queer Humboldt and the Redwood Coalition for Climate and Environmental Responsibility are cosponsoring the events, which will be held on the following dates:

• Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, District 4:

Monday, May 9 from 6-8pm.

• Humboldt County Auditor-Controller:
Wednesday, May 18 from 6-8pm

The sponsoring organizations will ask questions which are relevant to
their missions, giving voters an opportunity to hear how the candidates
stand on a variety of issues. All five candidates who are running for
Board of Supervisors in the June primary election have been invited.

The forums will be aired live on KMUD Radio and live streamed on
KMUD News Facebook page. Members of the public are also invited to
submit questions to the candidates either before the forums via email at
[email protected] or during the forum by calling the station at 707-923-
3911 or on the KMUD News Facebook page.
