Classic Victorian Tea Party in Eureka

After the success of last year’s event, the Clarke Museum is hosting another classic Victorian Tea Party from 24pm on August 21st in the gardens of the Annie B Ryan House in Eureka. Catered by Brett Shuler Fine Catering, the tea party will feature tea sandwiches, scones, berries and mascarpone, sweets, and of course, lots of tasty teas.

Guests will be encouraged to dress up, and we’ll have a Selfie Station and fancy hat competition to create lasting memories (and fun social media posts). Scientific artist Josh Overington will be on hand doing sketches, and local artist Amy Fowler will be demonstrating her millinery skills. All of this will be accompanied by live music from local harpist Julia Sheppard.

Guests will also receive a ticket for an opportunity drawing for the chance to win some really fun door prizes, including a $100 gift card from Pierson’s, a shadow box created by Monica from the Art Center Frame Shop, and more. You’ll also be able to purchase more tickets if you’re feeling lucky. The cost for the event is $40 for individual tickets and $225 for a table of six. Tickets are limited so purchase yours now!

This is the second in a series of tea-themed events the Clarke is holding over the course of 2022. The third will be Tea & Spirits, a tea-themed cocktail party in October, with haunted walking tours of Old Town led by Haunted History Tours offered before the party starts.

Tickets can be purchased on the Clarke Museum website here or by calling the museum at 707-443-1947.

The mission of the Clarke Historical Museum is to celebrate the rich and varied history of Northwestern California by preserving, sharing, and interpreting that history in ways that increase knowledge, enrich the spirit, engage the mind, and stimulate the imagination.
