
Invasive Plant Removal at Black Sands Beach
Invasive plant removal at Black Sands Beach is the focus of the next BLM/Friends of the Lost Coast work party in Shelter Cove. On Sunday, May 21, volunteers are invited to lend a hand in removing a variety of invasive plant species from this popular destination. The event runs from 10a.m. to 1p.m. and a limited number of youth stipends are available for ages 12-16. Meet 10a.m. at the west end of the Black Sands Beach parking area, 856 Beach Road in Shelter Cove. Tools and gloves are provided. To RSVP or register a local youth, email [email protected].
