Two day event honors the impact of the Reggae on the River festival

Reggae on the River presents Mateel Forever: Reggae Legacy. Saturday August 13th  and August 14th at the Mateel Community Center, 59 Rusk Lane in Redway. Reggae Legacy honors the impact of the Reggae on the River festival has made both in Southern Humboldt County and on the global reggae scene for nearly four decades. Day one features Wailing Souls, Marlon Asher, Mystic Roots, Stay Positive Sound & Guerilla Takeover, day two features a Humboldt County Reggae showcase with Judrum, Irie Rockerz, Mykal Somer, Seed and Soil, DJ’s Justone & Irie Adina.

The event is all ages, doors are at 4:20pm.  Discounted tickets are on sale now for Saturday, August 13th for $30 in advance, tickets are $35 at the door. Sunday, August 14th tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.  Two day, weekend passes are available for $40 now through Eventbrite. Children 12 and under admitted free. Just announced: NATTALI RIZE with MINORI, Saturday, September 3rd 

World renowned global, reggae artist Nattali Rize returns to Humboldt, Saturday, September 3, 2022 bringing her 6-piece band from Australia & Jamaica with Minori from Jamaica performing as a support act. Tickets are on sale now for this all-ages show at the Mateel Community Center 56 Rusk Lane in Redway. Doors and dinner are at 7:30, full bar for those 21 and over. Tickets are on sale now for $20 through Eventbrite and available at Wildberries in Arcata and Redway Liquors.Tickets are $25 at the door.
