Southern Humboldt Fire Safe Council ‘Fire Resources Fair ‘

The Southern Humboldt Fire Safe Council invites the community to a ‘Fire Resources Fair’ on April 27th from Noon to 5pm at the Mateel Community Center in Redway. This is an educational event featuring Yana Valachovic, UCCE Forestry Advisor and County Director, who will be presenting the latest information on defensible space, home hardening and fire insurance advice. There will be a panel discussion with all of the local FSCs and Firewise groups, plus several tables of information from local fire mitigation groups and ample opportunities for networking. This is a family friendly event with activities for kids, including a tour of fire trucks.
