Student Presentations with California Native Plant Society
The California Native Plant Society (CNPS) invites the public to “From
the Forefront of Botanical
Science,” Wednesday December 14 at 7:30 P.M., at Six Rivers Masonic

Three Cal Poly Humboldt students with research grants from CNPS will
describe their projects:
– Kale McNeil – the systematic and population genetics of endangered
wetland violets in northern California
– Caitlyn Allchin – habitats and assisted migration of the Lassics
lupine, an endangered
serpentine-endemic
– Ashley Dickinson – the population structure and diversity of the
two-flowered pea, another rare
serpentine-endemic
Refreshments at 7 P.M., program at 7:30. CNPS hosts free public
presentations on the second
Wednesday of each month, September through May.
