Summer Adventure Camp
Friends of the Lost Coast will offer Summer Adventure Camp again this year. This science and nature camp allows 4-13 year olds to explore local ecosystems with experienced teachers. From the redwoods to the rivers and the King Range to the Lost Coast, participants will hike, swim, observe, experiment, journal, plus do arts and crafts.
There are three different age groups during six weeks. They are as follows:
Week 1 – June 19 –23, 4-6 year olds, 10 am – 3 pm
Week 2 – June 26-30, 7-9 year olds, 10 am – 4 pm
Week 3 – July 10-14, 10-13 year olds, 10 am – 4 pm (There is an optional overnight with this group until the 15th)
Week 4 – July 17-21, 4-6 year olds, 10 am – 3 pm
Week 5 – July 24-28, 7-9 year olds, 10 am – 4 pm
Week 6 – July 31-August 4, 10-13 year olds, 10 am – 4pm
The cost for a week is $275 with an extra $75 for the optional 10-13 year old overnight. There are scholarships available made possible by the Jewish Community Federation on behalf of the Bill Graham Supporting Foundation and the Supporting Science Fund, a fund of the Humboldt Area Foundation. A special thanks goes out to the BLM King Range for their support of this program.
