Tiny Art Show – all welcome to participate – at Humboldt County Libraries
Throughout the month of August, the Humboldt County Library is looking for local artists of all skill levels and ages to participate in their first ever Tiny Art Show. The Tiny Art Show will consist of miniature pieces of art created by the community for a September display at the Main Branch of the Humboldt County Library.
Artists of all ages are encouraged to pick up a Tiny Art Kit from the Eureka Library, located at 1313 Third Street in Eureka. All kits include a 3”x3” canvas. Artists can use any art supplies of their own to decorate their canvases – they can paint, draw, decoupage, sew; the only limit is that they must use the canvas provided. There will also be an additional art supply kit available while supplies last. Participants will be limited to one canvas per person. Kits will be available throughout August at the library and at the library’s booth at the upcoming Eureka Street Art Festival Block Party on Saturday, August 6th. Community members are also invited to a Tiny Art Workshop that will be held at the Main Branch of the Humboldt County Library on Saturday, August 20th at 2:00 p.m., where they can create their masterpieces in a group setting with other community members.
All events are free to attend. The library’s programs and services are accessible to persons with disabilities; please let us know if you require assistance.
