Upcycled Trash Art
The Northcoast Environmental Center is hosting a FREE, in-person Upcycled Trash Art Workshop on June 29. Learn more at www.yournec.org/artivism
This workshop strives to bring awareness to waste issues and give litter a new life! Trash art encourages us to recognize the possibility in what we may have once considered “waste.” Trash can become something beautiful, useful, innovative, and even powerful. We hope to transform our community mindset to see value where we couldn’t see it before, and know our actions create ripples. Viewing or creating a moving piece of artwork made from trash has the potential to create change within your home, community, or even the world!
When: June 29, 6 – 7:30 PM
Where: 415 I Street, Arcata, CA 95521 (NEC Office)
Cost: Free (Bring your trash art supplies!)
Workshop Topic: Upcycled trash art
Hosted by: Caroline Griffith, NEC Executive Director and Rebel Craft Rumble Queen
