Fire in the Spanish Flat area of the King Range National Conservation Area 100 % contained

According to a CAL Fire news release, dated July 3, 2011:
The Spanish fire located within the Spanish Flat area of the King Range National Conservation Area has been 100 % contained. The CAL FIRE Humboldt – Del Norte Unit will continue to have suppression resources at the fire to ensure that firelines hold and to conduct mop-up operations. The fire has burned 498 acres of grass with minimal involvement of timberlands. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by both Bureau of Land Management and Cal Fire investigators.
As of July 3rd CAL FIRE has the following fire suppression resources assigned to the fire:
4 – Hand Crews
1 – Fire Engine
2 – Overhead Personnel
As firefighting operations continue over the next few days, CAL FIRE continues to ask the public to stay out of the fire area due to hazards associated with fire.
