Subject: Assault with Deadly Weapon Case: 201104200

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On 07-28-2011 at 3:45 p.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies and medical personnel were dispatched to the area of the 600 block of Main Street, Loleta regarding a female walking around with her throat cut, bleeding profusely.
When deputies arrived they met with the 25-year-old female victim and medical personnel. The victim was immediately transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Deputies were able to determine during their investigation the victim was assaulted by another female who has been identified as Shelia Sherrell, also known as Sheila Franks from Scotia.
A (B.O.L.) Be-On-the Lookout was broadcast to local law enforcement for Sherrell who is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon. Anyone with information regarding her location is requested to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
Shiela Sherrell is further described as: White Female, 35 years old, 5-6, 130 lbs, Strawberry Blond Hair, Blue Eyes
The victim was treated and released for her injuries.
