Kidnapping/Robbery suspect arrested

According to a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, dated August 4, 2011:
On Aug 3, 2011, approximately 6:30 p.m., a California Highway Patrol Officer ( C.H.P.) stopped to check on a disabled silver colored Volvo on Highway 299  near Salyer, Califronia. As the C.H.P. Officer spoke with the two occupants of the disabled Volvo he realized the driver of the car matched the description of one of the wanted suspects in the kidnapping and robbery, which occurred earlier in the day in Willow Creek (see article immediately below for that incident).  The C.H.P. Officer notified the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office who responded to the scene. The investigating deputy determined the driver of the Volvo was one of the suspects and arrested him.  The deputy determined the passenger was not one of the suspects and he was interviewed and released.  Deputies did not locate any firearms at that time.

Arrested for Robbery and Kidnapping was Charles Albert Kelly, 29 years of Willow Creek. He was transported and booked in the Trinity County Jail. His bail is set at $100,000.00
