Photos of Dobbyns Creek slide posted
On March 31, 2011 a huge slide occurred along Dobbyns Creek between Alderpoint and Blocksburg resulting in danger of damaging local homes and closing Alder Point Road near Blocksburg. While covering the Dobbyns Creek slide, Community Journalist Eileen Russell took the photos below as well as other photos on KMUD Flickr:

The picture below, taken at about 2:30 pm, April 5 shows a house next to Dobbyns Creek near the slide area. Community members stayed up late last night filling sandbags to save the home:
