Update on man wanted for questioning in stepfather’s death
According to a press release from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, dated Jan. 11, 2012 (update to a previous post):
On January 11, 2012 at approximately 12:00 pm Trinity County Sheriff Deputies located John Robert Powell in a remote part of Southern Trinity County. Detectives from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office questioned John Robert Powell in regards to the shooting of his step-father Jonathon William Powell. During the interview Powell made some admissions in regards to the shooting. Powell has been arrested and will be booked into the Trinity County Jail on 187(a) PC, Murder.
Jonathon William Powell’s autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Shasta County Coroner’s Office.
