Broom Bash #1 in Sinkyone Wilderness State Park

CA State Parks, Sanctuary Forest, and Friends of the Lost Coast are teaming up on Saturday, March 1 from 10a.m.-2p.m. to remove invasive French broom in Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. Meet 9:50a.m. at Needle Rock Visitor Center. Carpooling is recommended, with free camping available to volunteers. Tools and gloves are provided and steady rain will cancel. Also, thanks to a grant from the CA Coastal Commission’s Whale Tail program, Friends of the Lost Coast is offering stipends to local youth, ages 10-17.  Stipends pay $10/hr, with no experience needed.  For info, to RSVP, or register a youth, email [email protected].
