Creating Pollinator Sanctuaries with Native Plants Workshop
Creating pollinator sanctuaries with native plant is the theme of a free workshop hosted by Friends of the Lost Coast on Saturday, March 8. Featuring restoration ecologist and permaculture designer Kyle Keegan, participants will learn how to use “sheet mulching” to convert garden areas into sanctuaries for native pollinators. Plant varieties used to attract and support a diverse array of native species, including butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds will also be discussed. This workshop takes place at the Fool’s Farm in Salmon Creek, from 10am to 2pm. Space is limited to 15 participants, with advance registration required. Email [email protected] to register.
