The Extraordinary Caterpillar – Film, Lecture & Family Fun

Caterpillars are the engine of food webs. They feed birds, support pollinators, and keep ecosystems thriving – and on Saturday, June 13 caterpillars will be celebrated with a free event at the Lost Coast Nature Center in Whitethorn. Anchored by a screening of the beautiful film, The Extraordinary Caterpillar, Friends of the Lost Coast, BLM King Range, and the Humboldt County Office of Education will also host biologists/entomologists/authors, Peter & Judy Haggard and Jane Monroe to speak and lead a caterpillar-themed garden exploration, while Miss Taylor offers fun activities for kids and families. The event runs 12-3pm. More information at lostcoast.org.
