Late-Season Fungi Foray & Lab Day

Join Friends of the Lost Coast & BLM on Sun, March 23 from 10am to 2pm for a late-season fungi foray in King Range National Conservation Area. Local fungi enthusiast, Lost Coast Mike, will guide a field outing (location TBD), followed by a “lab” session at the Lost Coast Education Center, where participants will learn about DNA analysis and use microscopes to view collected samples up close. This is a great opportunity to learn about late-season species, ethical foraging, and how you can assist with this cataloguing effort in iNaturalist. Email [email protected] to register.
