closer to the coast again tonight.

Along the Coast: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Light and variable wind.
Extended Forecast: High pressure will keep the weather dry in Northwest California through Friday, with little chance of rain in the area. A trough moving through the Great Basin will bring more high clouds and stronger, gusty winds along the coast and over the mountains, especially Wednesday. Frost is possible in the Humboldt Bay area and inland valleys each morning, with chilly but not extremely cold air and fog forming every night. The pattern may shift by the weekend, with a chance for light rain, but it’s still uncertain whether it will be wet or dry overall.
