What is Active Citizenship?
Active citizenship is the practice of being engaged and responsible in one’s community and nation. It goes beyond just being a passive member of society; it involves taking action to influence decisions, improve living conditions, and create a positive environment for future generations. Active citizens participate in both formal and informal ways, working to address social issues, uphold democratic values, and contribute to the common good. By actively engaging in societal affairs, these individuals strengthen the foundation of a democratic society and work towards a more just and inclusive world.
