SYNOPSIS: High pressure continues to build over the area, bringing offshore flow and generally fair skies through Thursday along with night and morning valley fog. Light rain is possible mainly in Humboldt and Del Norte counties over the weekend. King Tides from December 3rd to the 7th may lead to minor coastal flooding in low-lying areas mainly around Humboldt Bay.

TODAY:  

Inland: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the morning.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 38. Light north northeast wind. 

Along the Coast: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. North wind 3 to 7 mph. 

Extended Forecast: High pressure is causing dry offshore winds that will continue through Thursday morning before easing later in the day. As winds calm overnight, cold air will settle in, bringing frost to inland valleys—especially in Humboldt and Mendocino Counties. By Thursday night into Friday, a weak weather system will move in, adding clouds and keeping nighttime temperatures slightly warmer. Light rain may arrive Friday and continue through the weekend, mainly affecting Del Norte and far northern Humboldt Counties, with only minor rainfall further south.
