SYNOPSIS: Dry, calm, and foggy weather will persist through theweekend. Wetter weather will finally return next week with period of light to moderate rain and wind focused along the North Coast early in the week.
TODAY:
Inland: Patchy fog before 1pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy early, then becoming sunny, with a high near 68. Light and variable wind.
Along the Coast: Patchy fog after 4pm. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 61. East northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Patchy fog after 7pm. Otherwise, mostly clear during the early evening, then becoming mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Calm wind.
Along the Coast: Patchy fog before 7pm. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 53. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
Extended Forecast: The weekend will be calm and dry with patchy fog at night and unseasonably warm temperatures. Early next week (starting Monday evening), the area has a 70% chance of seeing its first December rain, with 1-2 inches expected along the North Coast and lighter amounts elsewhere, accompanied by breezy southeast winds gusting 35-45 mph. The rain and wind will be typical for December despite being much wetter than recent weeks, with little flood risk expected. Late next week, there’s potential for a stronger storm that could bring heavier rain (2-6 inches) and wind gusts over 60 mph, though there’s still uncertainty about whether this storm will actually hit the area.
