  • On Friday potent system bringing advisory-level winds to coastal areas and ridgetops, with potential for very strong winds mixing down to coastal plains
  • Another round of strong southerly winds expected Saturday, particularly in Humboldt and Del Norte counties
  • 3-6 inches (locally up to 8 inches) forecasted Thursday through Monday as atmospheric river targets the region
  • Flood watch issued for Humboldt, Mendocino, and Lake counties due to potential small stream flooding and rivers reaching critical levels
  • Flood Watch in effect from January 2, 04:00pm until January 4, 10:00PM
  • Wind Advisory in effect from January 2, 01:00 PM until January 3, 10:00 PM 
  • Coastal Flood Watch in effect from January 2, 07:00 AM until January 4, 02:00 PM
