KMUD celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage month!

Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month offers a moment to pause and consider the breadth of cultures, histories, and experiences that shape AAPI communities across the United States. It’s a time to listen more closely—to stories of migration and identity, of creativity and resilience—and to recognize the many ways these communities have influenced public life, from the arts and cuisine to science, journalism, and civic leadership. Throughout the month, communities mark the occasion with conversations, cultural events, and opportunities to engage more deeply with voices that are too often underrepresented.
