
KMUD Community Radio proudly invites you to the Annual KMUD Block Party on Saturday, May 17, 2025 — a free, all-day celebration of local music, creativity, and connection. It’s one of the first big community events of the season, and you won’t want to miss it!

Please note: Redway Drive in front of KMUD will be closed from 10 AM to 10 PM. Traffic will be detoured via Empire Avenue.
Celebrate the SoHum Spirit
Join us on the KMUD lawn for a festive, family-friendly day filled with live music, food, art, local vendors, and summer vibes. Reconnect with neighbors, lounge on the grass, and take in an inspiring lineup of musicians and performers.
Stage Lineup (subject to change):
- 12:00PM – Garberville Town Band, bold brass sounds.
- 1:00 PM, the Kids’ Zone springs to life with the Cowtown Puppet Show, a fun and educational performance about farming. Throughout the afternoon, Spoon Circus will spreads the joy of circus arts to all. Enjoy arts & crafts, and other engaging activities. Come and play!
- 1:30 PM – Face Urchins: An audio adventure blending alternative rock and home-made electro
- 2:15 PM – Royal Propolis: A bold synthesis of jazz, blues, and rock fusion
- 3:15 PM – Emily Totten & Damond: A soulful new musical collaboration
- 4:00 PM – Zera Starchild: Inspiring us to come together and imagine a better world
- 5:00 PM – Ticket to Ride: NorHum’s beloved Beatles tribute band
- 6:00 PM – Checkered Past: High-energy reggae and ska to get you moving
- 7:00 PM – Hera Has a Heart: Selections from her powerful one-woman rock opera The Madness
- 7:45 PM – Blu Axis featuring Camo Cowboys: A special headline set with local legends
All performances will be broadcast live on KMUD from noon to dusk. When the music ends, the party continues at The Brass Rail for the official after-party!
Art, Food & Local Flavor
KMUD welcomes back artists Rawzen and Joe Mallory, who will add another vibrant mural to our evolving Block Party art space. Enjoy delicious hand-made food, Italian wines, cocktails, local beers, and KMUD’s legendary iced coffee. This is a low-waste event, so please bring your own cup, bowl, and utensils. Reuse your KMUD cup from last year and get $1 off every drink!
Relax in the Chill Zone hosted by Humboldt County Growers Alliance or bid on local goods and experiences in our Silent Auction.
