Show Description:

Heart of the Earth began when KMUD first went on air May 1987. It was first called American Indian Radio but 2 years later it was renamed. Agnes Patak has been its only programmer and host. She shares the stories, pain, laughter, struggle, and resiliency of Native Americans and other Indigenous people. Her powerful voice isn’t afraid to say what must be said. After more than 500 years of colonialism, it’s time for the truth. Listen to Heart of the Earth every Wednesday morning at 9AM with the news, stories, and music from Native people.
