world-beat

Show Description:

The genre of “World Beat” was first coined by musician and DJ Dan Del Santo in 1983. He fused and created hybrids of pop music with afrobeat, popular Latin styles and calypso. On the World Beat Show on KMUD Agnes plays the many styles of African, Caribbean and Latin music with its love songs, cautionary tales, political lessons and cultural continuity. This is music for the heart, soul and body.
It is some of the greatest dance music on the planet. So put on your dancing shoes and dance!
