The Food For People Mobile Produce Pantry will be at the Wiyot Community Distribution site today, from 10 am to 12 noon at 1000 Wiyot Drive in Loleta, and at the Bear River Community Distribution site from 11am to 12:30pm today, at 263 Keisner, in Loleta.
Additionally, Food for People will be distributing food to those in need throughout Humboldt County today at local pantries. The Bridgeville Pantry at 38717 Kneeland Road is open from 10 am until 4 pm. The Eureka Choice Pantry at 307 W 14th Street is open from 10 am until 3:45 pm today. And the Blocksburg Pantry at 27922 Alderpoint Road is open from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
Mendocino County residents: the Leggett Food Pantry will be hosting a food distribution at 65100 Drive-Thru Tree Road from 1230 to 3pm. For additional details, call 925-6343. In Laytonville, a food distribution will take place today at 375 Harwood Road from 2 to 4pm. For info, call 984-8089. Willits residents can visit the Willits Food Bank, today from 1-4:30pm at 229 E. San Francisco St. in Willits. Questions? Call 459-3333. The Fort Bragg Food Bank will be hosting a food distribution from 12 noon to 3pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. For a hot meal, Fort Bragg residents can visit the First Baptist Church at noon today on the corner of Franklin & Pine in Fort Bragg. Call 964-3422 for more information.Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at Ray’s Food Place at 875 Redwood Drive in Garberville from 10 am until 3 pm, and at Pierson’s Building Center located at 4100 Broadway Street in Eureka from 11 am until 4 pm. CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Friday, January 17th is a NO BURN DAY in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties. However, today IS a permissive burn day in Mendocino County.
