SYNOPSIS:

  • Strong to Damaging southerly winds will bring an increased risk of downed trees and power outages early Wednesday morning.
  • Flood Watch in effect through Friday evening for Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, Mendocino and Lake counties.
  • Moderate to heavy rain early Wednesday.
  • Additional heavy rain and strong winds possible Wednesday night through Friday.
  • Winter Storm Warning for elevations above 4000 ft Wednesday evening through Friday evening for Trinity County
  • High Wind Watch in effect until December 25th, 07:00 PM 
  • FLOOD WATCH UNTIL FRIDAY DECEMBER 26TH, throughout Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, Mendocino, and Lake Counties. Take caution. There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
